Three Lancaster Bible College soon-to-be graduates are completing requirements for their senior projects—and it’s an exciting, free concert that’s open to the public!
Riley Martin (’24), a Worship Arts major within the Music, Worship & Performing Arts Department, along with Media Arts Production majors Vladimir Podgorodniy (’25) and Zach Cabrera (’24), are leading efforts to host the free “Proof of Light” alternative Christian rock concert on March 15, 2024, in Good Shepherd Chapel on LBC’s Lancaster campus at 901 Eden Road.
Besides sharing uplifting musical messages, the Proof of Light concert seeks to loudly and wholeheartedly proclaim faith in God, call those listening to be God’s light in the world and to give everyone a fun experience!
Set for 7 p.m., Martin will be joined by several current LBC students and recent grads, including Music Education major Amanda DeKok (’24), Music Performance major Immanuel Johnson (’26), Worship Arts alumnus Chris Lehigh (’23), Worship Arts major Gabriel Mellette (’25), Worship Arts alumnus Braden Roemer (’21) and Music Performance major Joel Sathyadass (’25).
The band will perform covers of Colony House’s “Looking for Some Light,” “Caught Me By Surprise,” “This Beautiful Life” and “Remembered For;” RELIC’s “Wildfire” and “Ghost;” Gable Price and Friends’ “Evergreen;” Steffany Gretzinger’s “Blackout;” and Switchfoot’s “Souvenirs” and “Where the Light Shines Through.”
As Communication & Media Arts students, Podgorodniy and Cabrera will handle aspects of sound, lighting, tech and more.
Students in various majors at Lancaster Bible College complete senior projects that serve as a culmination of their practical education at LBC. Along the way, they are mentored by faculty, work alongside their peers and are guided by professionals during internships. Senior projects provide students the opportunity to showcase their God-given talents, taking the project from conception though production and ultimate delivery to an external audience.
Especially geared toward youth groups and fellow college students, the “Proof of Light” concert at 7 p.m. March 15 is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.
