FIRST STEP – Apply
Complete & submit your application!
The application process begins with selecting the “create an account” link under first-time users. Once you
have registered for your personalize account, check your email to get your temporary PIN and click “Login.” Now you are ready to start the application.
If you have already created an account, simply log in to complete your application.
SECOND STEP – Submitting Additional Documents
Request official transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended. Transcripts should be sent to Lancaster Bible College directly from the degree-granting institution(s) via email to admissions@lbc.edu or mailed (in a sealed envelope) to: Lancaster Bible College, 901 Eden Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.
Request professional reference(s). Applicants must provide contact information for professional reference.

1 reference for EdD
Written submission.
- Applicants to PhD or DMin
Submit research paper. All applicants must submit a 15-page, research paper written at the master’s level (a previously written paper is acceptable). - Applicants to EdD
1. Submit a current resume or CV.
2. Submit statement of purpose. All applicants must submit a 750- to 1000-word statement of purpose that outlines your leadership experience, current role in education, and purpose for pursuing an EdD in Educational Leadership.
For International Applicants
THIRD STEP – Complete Standardized Testing
All international applicants must demonstrate a satisfactory level of English proficiency.
This can be done by taking the TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo exam. Make sure to add LBC’s school code: 2388. The following scores are acceptable for doctoral admission to Lancaster Bible College.

Grade Point Average (GPA) requirements
- PhD applicants must hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
- DMin applicants must hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 in previous MDiv degree or a 3.2 GPA in an accredited ministry-related or Bible/Theology master’s degree.
- EdD applicants must hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Additional requirements for applicants
- DMin applicants who do not hold an MDiv degree must complete additional admission requirements such as an appeal letter and ministry experience. Details will be provided upon application.
- Additional application pieces might be requested by the Program Director, if necessary.
FINAL STEP
Personal Interview
Upon completion of your admission portfolio, you will be considered for an admission interview to be scheduled by our staff or program director. The interview may be in person or by video conference.
