Dr. Tanya Solomon is the Site Director for LBC | Capital – Philadelphia. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, where she graduated from Drexel University. She began her educational and vocational journey as an engineer, and she worked in this field for 6 years in Philadelphia, New Jersey and Michigan. However, a passion for education has always been at the center of her life, and drew her to continue her formal education at the University of Michigan, where she earned both a masters and doctorate degree in education. She has taught and served in different capacities in the educational arena, from early childhood education to post-secondary education in Philadelphia and in the Detroit and Chicago metro areas. In 2014, God opened a door for her to teach as an adjunct professor at Lancaster Bible College’s Center for Urban Theological Studies, or CUTS. In 2016, the Lord saw fit to plant her at Lancaster Bible College Philadelphia on a full-time basis and blessed her to use all of the skills she developed up to this point to teach and create supports for students to succeed academically as the leader of the Philadelphia Ally Center team. In her current position as Site Director of the Philadelphia location, she endeavors to equip LBC | Capital students to be servant leaders who are change agents and influencers in every environment to which they are sent.
