Pete Beers, MSS

Director of Athletics

Department:

Office Location: Lancaster

Pete Beers has served at LBC | Capital since 2000, first as Director of Athletics and as an assistant professor in the Health and Physical Education Department, and then assuming the position of Vice President for Traditional Undergraduate Education in April of 2021. Under his leadership, the athletic department thrived. Beers helped in transitioning the college in becoming an NCAA Division III school and attaining conference affiliation. In addition to multiple facility improvements, Beers’ Win-Win proposals were key to increasing sport offerings and hiring full-time coaches who would invest in the lives of student-athletes. In addition to athletics, Beers has taught classes such as Fundamentals of Coaching, Organization and Administration of Sports Ministry, Sport Psychology, and Theology of Sport and Competition. As VP for Traditional Undergraduate Education, Beers oversees almost every step of student life outside of the traditional classroom at LBC starting with Admissions, and including Student Affairs, Counseling and Care, Public Safety, and Athletics. His desire is for all Traditional Undergraduate students to be equipped with the best education, counsel, and spiritual guidance LBC can provide for them to proclaim Christ and make an impact in their community and society.
