This program gives the LBC student 41 extra credits in Bible & Theology, including courses in hermeneutics, historical theology, biblical Hebrew & Greek, and a course on teaching the Bible, with a capstone seminar course that will deal with an important historical or contemporary topic. Students will also have elective offerings that will allow them to go deeper into various books of the Bible and important themes from a theological perspective. Two additional aspects of the program are internships related to the student’s vocational aspirations, and a trip to biblical sites that will enhance their understanding of the Bible.
The Biblical & Theological Studies bachelor’s degree prepares students for teaching the Bible and theology in Christian schools, church ministries and parachurch ministries, in the US and around the world. It will also prepare students to take advanced degrees in biblical & theological studies so that they might teach in colleges and seminaries.
