Lancaster Bible College is pleased to announce the addition of several new education majors in special education and English as a second language.
The degrees can been taken in a 4+1 (four plus one) format, meaning you can earn your undergraduate degree in education in the usual four years and then earn a master’s degree in either special education or teaching English as a second language in just one year. This version of the exciting new major is offered through our traditional undergraduate program, which is mostly made up of recent high school graduates and young adults who are looking to live on campus or commute. Students will earn a bachelor of science in education in either early childhood or middle level education along with a master of education in their chosen concentration.
Alternatively, students can opt to take the programs in special education or ESL solely as a master’s degree, which typically takes two years and is designed for seasoned professionals who already have their teaching certification. For those interested in earning their MEd from LBC, the program is delivered in a blended, accelerated, cohort-based model that allows life-engaged adult learners to complete an advanced degree. Students participate in a learning community that blends online education with on campus residency experiences.
